The Rist Canyon Premier Road Ride! 44.6 miles of some of the best mountain views in Colorado. Be part of the exhilarating beauty of the Northern Colorado Mountains. Ride along mountain passes that open to increadable wild flower filled valleys of the Buckhorn Canyon Area. Making your way through canyon cut outs with bubbling mountain brooks to set your pace to. If you are looking for a challenge at any level and views to match, the Rist Canyon Road Ride is one not to miss, The ascent of the Alp du Rist 9.4 mile climb will leave you with a feeling of accomplishment and pride.

Not to mention to experience the ACA Pro Bike Racers, Inaugural Rist Canyon Road Race, an motion/green earth expo, live music, high quality food and three of our local breweries will be serving local micro beer; New Belgium, Fort Collins Brewery & Odell Brewery. (Expo, Festival time 10:00am-3:00pm).

The Rist Canyon Road Ride is comparable to experiencing a 75-90 mile rolling ride. The Rist Ride has excellent paved roads

All riders must start prior to 8:15am. Average course completion of 2.5 to 4.5 hours for recreational cyclists. All riders must be off the course by 1pm. The ride includes two well stocked rest stations with energy replacing refreshments. There will also be a water stop half-way up the Rist Canyon ascent.

A travel distance of 55 miles North of Denver

Citizen riders (44.60 miles) will depart the stadium to the east gate #2 and ride north on Overland Trail to Bingham Hill Road; west through Bellvue and up Rist Canyon to Stove Prairie; south to Masonville; east to Horsetooth Reservoir; north on Centennial Road CR23 over Spring Canyon Dam; east on CR42 Dixon Canyon Road; north on Overland Trail (on the left shoulder against the flow of vehicle traffic) for several hundred yards to Hughes Stadium gate #2; west to the start/finish line.
